St. Francis Track & Field places 1st out of 21 teams at 2024 Alexander Trojan Invite

The St. Francis Track & Field team won the Trojan Invitational at
Attica High School on Saturday April 20th . St. Francis outscored 20
other schools to win the invitational. The Red Raiders won 3 relay
events and won 3 open events on their way to the team title. Cold and
Windy conditions along with a little snow did not deter the squad who
proved they were up to the task. Junior Mike Stadler anchored two of
the winning relays and won the open 800m while fellow Junior Dominic
Davis dominated the Pentathlon with his 2806pts a career best.
Meet Summary
 4 x 800 relay of Brayden Mahoney, Maximus Sturniolo, Nathan Phillips &
Mike Stadler win the event in a time of 8:55.98.
 Frosh Sprint Medley of Aidan Wallace, Sam Skalski, Brendan Thompson &
Shepard Snyder win the event in a time of 4:09.37
 Senior Marcus Harrison wins the Discus in his 2024 debut with his 139’11
best effort. Harrison also placed 3rd in the shotput with his 44’3 effort.
Camden Marx placed 5th in the shotput throwing a career best 40’2.
 Junior Mike Stadler runs a season best time of 2:01.74 to win the 800m
open. Brayden Mahoney ran a time of 2:10.10 to place 5th .
 Junior Dominic Davis wins 4 of the 5 events contested in the Pentathlon
and sets his career mark with a 2806 point total to win the event.
 4 x 400 relay completes a long day in the cold windy conditions winning
event in a time of 3:43.89. Dalton Pelow, Maximus Sturniolo, Brayden
Mahoney & Mike Stadler make up the 4 legs of the relay.
 Senior Patrick Roof ran great 3200m race placing 2nd overall in the event
with a personal best time of 10:58.80.
 Junior Dalton Pelow ran a 400m time of 54.74 to place 3rd in the event.
Maximus Sturniolo ran 55.44 to place 6th overall in the 400m
 Junior Nathan Powers tied for 3rd place in Pole Vault clearing a season
best 10-6. Powers also placed 4th in the 110HH running 17.40.
 Senior Nathan Phillips placed 4th in the 1600m open running a time of
5:01.38 after having road trouble at the start of the race.
 Frosh Kaiden Wright jumped a best effort of 18-10.5 to place 5th in the
event. Wright cleared a career best 5’6 in the high jump.
 The 4 x 100 relay of David Spadone, Sam Skalski, Brendan Thompson & Kaiden
Wright placed 5th in the event with a time of 48.25.
 Mikko Rippon placed 6th in the triple jump with a career mark of 36’6 which
was a foot better than his previous best.
