Desmond Randall named Head Basketball Coach

St. Francis High School is proud to announce the appointment of Desmond Randall as its new Head Varsity Basketball Coach!

Randall brings a wealth of experience at the high school, collegiate, and administrative levels, along with a reputation for building championship-caliber programs and mentoring student-athletes to succeed both on and off the court.

Randall most recently served as an assistant coach at Daemen University, where he helped guide the Wildcats to a historic season that included an undefeated conference record, East Coast Conference championships, and a trip to the NCAA Division II Elite Eight.

“I am honored and excited to join the St. Francis community,” said Randall. “This is a program with a proud tradition, and I look forward to building on that foundation by developing disciplined, committed, and competitive student-athletes who represent the school with pride.”

Before joining Daemen, Randall spent six seasons as head coach at Villa Maria College, transforming the program into a national contender. Under his leadership, Villa Maria achieved a No. 2 national ranking, reached the USCAA National Championship game, and consistently produced All-American and Academic All-American student-athletes. He was also named National Coach/Coaching Staff of the Year and became the winningest coach in program history.

“Desmond is a dynamic leader with a proven ability to elevate basketball programs while staying grounded in the values that define St. Francis High School,” said Athletic Director Steve Otremba '90. “His passion for developing young men, combined with his competitive success and leadership experience, makes him the choice to lead our program forward.”
