On Wednesday, Feb. 7th, 4 students from St. Francis were recognized for their outstanding character at an awards dinner held at Ilio DiPaolo's restaurant. The Hamburg Chamber of Commerce puts on this enjoyable night to honor local students for their great character and community involvement.
Over this past weekend, 6 students competed in the Science Olympiad Regional Tournament. This is a new team this year coached by Mr. Overfield and Ms. Laura Stone. The team consisted of seniors Connor Judkiewicz, Mike Cleversley, Cory Kornowicz & Sophomores Tyler Piwowarski, Ben Egloff, Aidan Reichenberg. Over the course of the day, St. Francis placed in 5 out of the 7 events that we competed in.
Chem Lab, Connor Judkiewicz and Ben Egloff placed 7th.
Dynamic Planet, Connor Judkiewicz and Mike Cleversley placed 7th.
Ecology, Connor Judkiewicz and Aidan Reichenberg placed 7th.
Fermi Questions, Mike Cleversley and Cory Kornowicz placed 6th.
Red Raider Wrestlers win CHSAA Division II Championship
The Red Raiders sent only 14 qualifiers but still finished 4th overall and won the CHSAA Division II championship. The team was also awarded the Sportsmanship Award by the tournament referees. The team won the overall CHSAA Dual Meet Championship two weeks ago and is currently ranked #5 by the WRWNY, and Honorable Mention in the New York Sportswriters' poll.
The Practice Entrance Exam for current 7th graders is scheduled for Saturday March 3, 2018. It will begin at 8:30am and will conclude by Noon. This is a good way for prospective students to get an idea of what the actual entrance and scholarship exam will be like and identify areas that may need some extra study.
* Please note that the practice exam has no bearing on admission to St. Francis High School and is for practice and your informational purposes.
**There will be an information session in Alumni Hall Theater for parents on the morning of the exam beginning at 8:30am and should last about 30 minutes. Admissions representatives will be available to answer you questions following the session.
Registration begins in the Foyer of Alumni Hall at 8 am. Please use the LaSalle Avenue entrance.

The St. Francis Alumni Association cordially invites you to join us in remembering our deceased Alumni at the Alumni Memorial Mass on Sunday, March 4, 2018 at 10:00 am in the St. Francis High School Chapel. A continental breakfast follows mass in the student dining room. The St. Francis High School Men's Choir will be present. This event is open to all St. Francis High School Alumni, students and families.
