Varsity Volleyball at Eden Tournament

Date of contest: 9/8/2018 Opponent: Lockport, Lancaster, Penfield, Oswego Final score: 1-5 in pool play; finished 3rd in pool; lost in Silver Division The Red Raiders faced stiff competition on Saturday at the Eden Tournament, as the Red Raiders squared off with #1 Lockport, #8 Lancaster, and defending Section V state champion Penfield in pool play. The red and white went 1-5 with their only win coming against Lancaster. The Red Raiders finished with the same record as Lancaster in pool play and was given the third place finish based off point differential. The Red Raiders then faced Oswego in the silver division and lost in the one game playoff 25-22. Seniors Dan Busha and Tom Moore led the team in kills while sophomore Parker Flis had a great day at the serving line providing the team with accurate serves all day. Juniors Mario Moretti, the team's assist leader, and Jack Rooney, the team's leader in digs, also played well. Sophomore Jacob Sacilowski led the team in blocks and provided some big kills when called upon.
