The Red Raiders kept their winning streak alive by defeating St. Joe's 3-1 to kick off Homecoming Weekend. The Red Raiders have won 9 straight since losing their opening match to the Gilman School of Baltimore (MD). Senior Dan Busha was unstoppable recording 17 kills in the win. Junior Mario Moretti had 30 assists to lead the team, while junior Jack Rooney was phenomenal defensively. Junior Josh Quinn and Sophomore Peyton Consigli clogged up the middle and contributed on numerous blocks. Sophomore Jacob Sacilowski had 3 solo blocks in the win. Senior Tom Moore added 5 kills. Sophomore Parker Flis and Senior Hayden Nowak had accurate serves all night and had 2 aces total. The Red Raiders now sit 1-0 in MMAA league play with two league matches this week, at Cardinal O'Hara on Tuesday and then home versus Canisius on Thursday night. The Red Raiders are looking to keep their winning streak alive as they close out September and enter a Red October.
