The St. Francis Red Raiders quest for an undefeated season fell one game short, as the visiting Canisius Crusaders upended the Red Raiders by the score of 13-8. In a defensive slugfest, Canisius got on the board first on a controversial referee touchdown call on a 2 yard run on 4th down. The PAT kick was good, giving Canisius a 7-0 lead. 

With 3:19 left in the 2nd quarter, QB Noah Workman hit WR Colton Evoniuk with a 23 yard TD pass. The 5 play, 58 yard drive, was also highlighted by a 15 yard pass from QB Noah Workman to WR Anthony Gomez and two carries for 15 yards from RB Kimal Clark. QB Shane Roberts ran in for the PAT, giving St. Francis an 8-7 lead.

Before the half ended, Canisius scored on a 20 yard TD pass. St. Francis LB Conor Black blocked the PAT attempt, leaving Cansius with a 13-8 halftime lead. Both defenses dominated the second half with no further scoring, leaving the Red Raiders just one game short of a perfect season. LB Dylan Mack led the Red Raiders defense with 9 tackles, LB Colton Evoniuk had 8 tackles, safety Shane Roberts, DL Jason Lowry and DB Anthony Gomez each pitched in with 6 tackles. 

The Red Raiders had an incredible season with a record of 7 wins and just one loss. The coaching staff was extremely proud of the season long effort from the team, and the future of St. Francis football in the years to come looks very bright.
