Freshman Basketball vs St. Joe's

The Red Raiders found themselves amidst a tough road battle with MMAA rival St. Joe's on Tuesday night. Unfortunately for the red and white, they came up short of victory losing 50-38. The Red Raiders were up 10-9 after the 1st quarter and were tied 23-23 at halftime. The second half was a different story as the Red Raiders found themselves down 38-30 after the 3rd quarter. The fourth quarter saw the Red Raiders try desperately to comeback but ultimately fell short. Blaise Kolbert had 11 points in the loss to lead the team. Darnell Dallas and Jaxon Mohawk each had 8 points. Gavin Calkins had 5 points, Markus Stahlka had 4 points, and Aidan McCarthy had 2 points to round out the scoring. The loss drops the Red Raiders to 8-5 overall and 4-2 in the MMAA. The team has three remaining games, home versus Cardinal O'Hara on Thursday Feb. 7th, at Clarence on Saturday Feb. 9th, and then home versus Canisius on Tuesday Feb. 12th.
