Freshman Basketball vs Cardinal O'Hara
The Red Raiders gave up a 53-52 lead with 1:44 left in the 4th quarter to give O'Hara a 55-53 win on Thursday night. Markus Stahlka had a game high 13 points and Blaise Kolbert had 12 points but that was not enough to secure the victory. Aidan McCarthy had 9 points, Jaxon Mohawk had 8 points, Darnell Dallas had 7 points, and Marc Patterson and Gavin Calkins each had 2 points to round out the scoring. A fast paced first quarter saw the Red Raiders take a 20-19 lead but a 14-7 second quarter saw the Red Raiders down 33-27 at halftime. The Red Raiders put together a 15-8 3rd quarter to take a 1 point lead, 42-41, heading into the final quarter of play. Unfortunately the red and white were unable to walk away with the win. The Red Raiders have two games left on the year, at Clarence on Saturday and home versus Canisius on Tuesday. The team record is 8-6 overall and 4-3 in the MMAA.
