Varsity Volleyball at Victor Tournament


Opponent: Oswego, Victor, Living Word Academy, Brockport

Final score: 4-2 in pool play; finished 2nd in pool; lost in quarterfinals

The Red Raiders traveled to Victor (Rochester) for the Victor Boys' Volleyball Tournament where the red and white went 4-2 in pool play to finish second in their pool. The team split with Oswego 1-1, swept Living Word Academy 2-0 and split with the host school Victor 1-1.

The team faced Brockport in the gold division quarterfinals. The Red Raiders got off to a hot start and found themselves up 17-9 only to be out scored 17-7 and lost game one 26-24. In game two the Red Raiders fought back and forth only to find themselves on the losing end 28-26 and ending their tournament championship hopes. With the loss the Red Raiders are 3-2 on the season and are 1-1 in the MMAA.

Outstanding play came from seniors Jack Rooney, Josh Quinn, and Mario Moretti. Juniors Jacob Sacilowski and Peyton Consigli were dominate at the net blocking and senior Zach Miller had a great day defensively.
