Freshman Basketball vs Jamestown

The Red Raiders continued their hot start to 2020 with a 46-32 victory over Jamestown at home on Wednesday night. With the score tied at 10-10 after the first quarter of action, the red and white turned up the intensity on defense and held Jamestown to 4 points in the 2nd quarter while scoring 13 to push the Red Raiders in front 23-14 at halftime. The Red Raiders never looked back and dominated the second half of play pushing their lead to 37-26 after the 3rd quarter and finally closing the game out with a 14 point win. Aiden Thomas led the way with 12 points and Anthony Giardina continued with his long range shooting chipping in with 8 points, including two three pointers. Charlie Rooney had 7 points including a perfect 3-3 from the free throw line. John Mallory had 6 points off the bench. Shane Colley had 5 points, Matt Stadler had 4 points, Matt Hilton had 2 points, and John Berkhoudt had 2 points to contribute in the win. The Red Raiders look to stay hot in 2020 as they open MMAA league play on Friday night versus Canisius at home with tip-off set for 4 pm.
