Peterson Shines for Prep Hockey during MPHL Weekend held at Gilmour Academy January 10-12.  
St. Francis Prep Hockey Earned one point over the weekend dropping 3 games and losing one game in overtime.  Ryan Peterson had a hat trick vs the two time defending MPHL Champions Ridley College a first in over 10 years of St. Francis Prep Hockey playing in the highly competitive Midwest Prep Hockey League.  He led the squad with 5 goals over the 4 game weekend.
After dropping their opener 5-0 to Bishops College Prep dropped a 4-2 decision to Rice Academy from Vermont.  Mitch Taylor played strong in the net while scoring came from Connor Sedia and Colin Vassallo.
St. Francis Prep came back from a 5-2 deficit to tie Rothesay Netherwood School before falling in OT 6-5.  Ryan Peterson had 2 goals and assist along with single goals by Lucas Bell, Colin Vassallo & Jack Kernitz. Kernitz goal with 25 seconds left in the 3rd period sent the game into OT.
St. Francis Prep Lost to the 2 time defending Champions of the MPHL Ridley College 6-5 in their final game of the MPHL Weekend.  Ryan Peterson had a hat trick his first in the MPHL League and the first Red Raider to do so in over 10 years of playing in the Midwest Prep Hockey League.  Matt Bowen and Sophomore Sam Chiavetta both scored their First MPHL Goals as the back and forth Struggle for two period was decided by an early Ridley Goal in the third period.
Ryan Peterson had 7 points (5 goals, 2 assists) over 4 games this weekend to lead the team in scoring over the weekend.  Supporting the prep Squad on Offense was Connor Sedia with 5 points (1 goal 4 assists) & Colin Vassallo 4 points (2 goals, 2 assists)
