Varsity Volleyball at Grand Island Tournament

Date of contest: 10/23/2021 Opponent: West Seneca West, Sweet Home, North Tonawanda Final score: 3-3 in pool play The Red Raiders competed in the final tournament of the season at Grand Island High School on Saturday. The Red Raiders opened pool play against Sweet Home and earned a 1-1 split, 22-25, 25-14. Then the Red Raiders took on eventual tournament champions and #2 ranked West Seneca West losing 21-25, 12-25. With the red and white sitting at 1-3 they needed to sweep North Tonawanda in their final matchup and hope for an additional Sweet Home loss in order to advance to the playoffs. The Red Raiders did their part easily defeating North Tonawanda 25-12, 25-16. Unfortunately, Sweet Home earned one more win and eliminated the Red Raiders from the tournament. Every member of the team saw action and helped the team earn the 3-3 record on the day.
