St. Francis Students Donate to Catholic Charities

Members of the Alverna homeroom took up bi-weekly Catholic Charities collections during lent.  The money raised was an impressive $3300.00. Deacon Steve Schumer, a St. Francis graduate from the class of 1977, President and CEO of Catholic Charities, was on campus to receive a check from the students. Service to others is a hallmark of a St. Francis education and our students came through once again with a very generous donation to the annual Catholic Charities appeal. Pictured with the students are Friar Matt, Director of Campus Ministry, Fr. Michael, President, Laurie Brown-Croyts Alford, Catholic Charities Volunteer and Deacon Steve Schumer, President and CEO of Catholic Charities.
