​Incoming freshmen can play modified (AAU) hockey for St. Francis in the spring of their 8th grade year. During the modified season, teams will practice twice weekly, in addition to the league scheduled weekend games. Tryouts are held in late Feb/early March.
Richard Luczak, Head Coach
Richard is a Class of 2014 alumnus and is one of the math teachers at St. Francis High School.  He is actively involved in local adult recreation hockey leagues and is a St. Francis High School hockey coach at the Varsity and Modified levels. 

Ryan Fitch, Assistant Coach
Ryan, St Francis alumnus Class of 2018, played on the JV Red, JV Prep and Varsity Federation teams while at SFHS.  He was also chosen for two all-star games and skills competitions.   During the 2018-19 season, Ryan was selected as the Varsity Fed MVP.  During that season, he was the leading scorer and selected to participate in the Bowman Cup, playing on Team Buffalo. 

Shawn Schneider, Assistant Coach
Shawn is a St. Francis High School alumnus from the Class of 2016.  He began his hockey career in the learn-to-skate program at age 3 and after his first season of mites, became a goaltender.  During his junior and senior years of high school, Shawn played for the Buffalo Junior Sabres, which won a state championship during the 2016 season.  He also participated in the national tournament in San Jose, California.  He attended Clarkson University where he played on the club team.  He led the team as an assistant captain with a 9-2-1 record his senior year.
