    • Alumni Family Day 2020

The St. Francis High School Alumni Association sponsored its 12th Annual Family Day on Saturday, January 11, 2020. Children and grandchildren of Alumni enjoyed a pizza lunch, bounce houses, miniature golf, face painting and caricature artists in the gymnasiums of the school all free of charge. The highlight of the day was an educational and interactive show from Nickel City Reptile and Exotic Animals in the Theater of Alumni Hall. All children in attendance also received a mini basketball emblazoned with the “Reggie the Raider” logo. Mark your calendars for January 9, 2021 for this fun filled and well-attended event. See you next year!

Thirty-seven members of the Class of 2014 braved the wind and waves at Hoak’s Restaurant to celebrate their Five Year Reunion on Wednesday, November 27th. Special thanks to Tom Anderson ’14 and Peter Goszewski ’14 for their organizational efforts as well as guest bartender Chris “Bones” Hoak ’07 for his outstanding work behind the pine.

14 teams came out to enjoy an idyllic setting and fellowship on Saturday, June 8th at the St. Francis High School Alumni Association’s 13th Annual Bocce Ball Tournament. At the end of the day it was veteran participants “The Big LaBocce” led by team captain David Kelly ‘04 that came away with the championship by defeating ‘I Don’t Know Scott Czamara” in the finals.
Special thanks to Event Chair Jack Jensen ’73 for his efforts and Ken Sovinski ’82 for his expertise on the grill. Also, thank you to Ilio DiPaolo’s Restaurant, Smiling Ted’s Quality Autos and Camellia’s Meats for their outstanding support of this event.

Class of 1969 Day of Recognition
On Friday, May 24th ten members of the Class of 1969 came back home to celebrate the 50 Year Anniversary of their graduation from St. Francis High School. After attending Mass in the school chapel, the classmates took a tour of the facilities and shared a meal in the Mastrantoni Family Hospitality Suite. Later that evening, some members of the class were able to attend commencement exercises for the Class of 2019 at Our Lady of Victory Basilica where they processed in with the faculty, staff, administration and graduating seniors and were appropriately recognized as part of the ceremony. Congratulations to all members of the Class of 1969, especially the following who were able to join us on this occasion: Joseph Achtyl, William Bolt, Eugene “Buck” Carroll, Charles Hedges, John Kramer, Timothy Leary, John “Jack” McMahon, John Michalek, Martin Miller and Michael Sanok.

"St. Francis @" Alumni Networking Series - On Thursday, December 27, 2018 the St. Francis Alumni Association hosted a networking event at Community Beer Works in Buffalo. Approximately 30 Alumni and guests attended and food was provided by Ru's Pierogi. The next "St. Francis @ " event will be held this spring at the Barrel Factory in the Old First Ward. More information to come. Hope to see you there!
