HEAD COACH: Fed Varsity & RR-16U
Bio: Coach Benner is a graduate of St. Francis High School, class of 2007. While at St. Francis, he played Prep hockey for three years, and was a member of the 2005-06 MPHL Championship winning team (along with Vince Scarsella). He went on to play in the MNJHL, first, for the Minnesota Flying Aces (now Wilmar
Warhawks). In his second season, he was traded to the Wisconsin Mustangs, where he finished 2nd in the league in scoring, with 87 points in 48 games.
Benner attended the University of Buffalo (graduated 2014), where he studied English Education and played ACHA hockey. As a UB "Bull", Benner played in 122 games, tallying 61g and 79a for a total of 140 points. He returned to UB in 2015-16 as an Asst. Coach on the Men's ACHA Club Varsity team.
Coach Benner returned to St. Francis in 2016-17, to coach the RR-15U team and Federation Varsity teeam. In 2017-18, under Benner's leadership, the Fed Team captured the regular season title (3rd division). This accomplishment has earned St. Francis a promotion to the 2nd division for the 2018-19 season.
