Cross Country vs Nichols
Date of contest: 9-26
The St. Francis cross country team kicked off their league season with a win against Nichols. While Nichols put the first two guys across the line it was a sea of red after that. Senior Sean O'Meara, the only returning point-scorer from last year's championship team, was the top Raider finisher, followed by a breakout performance by senior Patrick Henshaw. Tim Maciejewski, Zach Brydalski and Connor Fetzer rounded out the top 5. This meet also revealed a bright future for the Raider program, as two freshmen, Joseph Pivarunas and Chris Jozwiak made the top 7. It was great to see guys step up when the team was shorthanded, and collect a win against the largest, and perhaps most talented Nichols squad in recent memory.
